The Cappello Coat
Making a coat for Fabio Cappello has been the highlight of my professional career and probably the finest bespoke coat I have ever made. I have an all time wish list of clients and Mr. Cappello is on the list so to be asked to make a coat for him is a dream come true and an honour. Of course I was very nervous meeting him for the first time but went armed with the finest English fabric samples I could find, 100% cashmere coating and inner Mongolian cashmere from Smith Woollens. I drew up a choice of styles and gradually the final selection of fabric and style was approved. There were two fittings to ensure a perfect fit. A bespoke satin lining with the Umbro logo was commissioned and the detailed embroidery of the new England crest was done by experts.
Fabio Cappello was so pleased with his coat he asked for another to be made for his personal use!
