Visiting Tailor
Charlie Allen Visiting Tailor is a new concept which crosses the boundaries of traditional Bespoke with modern custom tailoring. What we are offering here is a high breed, as it combines elements of the two manufacturing processes.
Firstly we take exact measurements from your body using a tape measure. There is no trying on of garments to work out your size. We then discuss the style of your suit of which there are very little restrictions and almost certainly you can have anything you choose (1, 2, 3 button; single/double breasted; slanted/straight pockets; a variety of linings, under collar meltons; etc etc). From this an individual pattern is drawn for you (just as in bespoke).
At this point the path divides.
We then get this product made up to a finish in Europe in a large workroom. It is then returned to us and we do a fitting with you. Any alterations that need to be done are noted and altered by our ‘on site’ alteration tailor. The suit is then returned to you and providing it fits you pay the balance.
