My Story

The Quintessential Modern-British Tailor.

The third generation of his family to work in the trade, he learned tailoring at his grandfather’s knee and was cutting his own clothes before he left school. Fascinated by men’s clothing, he then trained at the Royal College of Art, before going into business on his own at 24.

With a client list that reads like a Who’s Who of London’s best dressed, he’s dressed everyone from royalty to rock stars. Warm, approachable, and not a little playful, you’ll find having a suit made by Charlie is a pleasure from start to finish.

Suits And Shirts

Bespoke & Made To Measure Suits

Nothing you have ever worn before will give you the pleasure, or quiet confidence, of a bespoke suit from Charlie Allen. Cut to your exact measurements, from the finest cloth with details chosen by you, this bespoke suit will put you immediately at ease. It will feel like an old friend from the moment you put it on and improve with age. Made for you – your body, your shape, your personality, and your idiosyncrasies – it is a unique garment that will highlight your best features and disguise those of which you are slightly less proud. Everything will be exactly as it should be.

Bespoke Shirts

A bespoke shirt, cut to the exact measurements of your body, will come as a revelation.  With a ready-to-wear shirt, you normally have to choose your collar size and accept default measurements for the length of the sleeves and the body of the shirt. For most men, the result is a shirt which fits in one aspect only. The choice of a bespoke shirt opens up a whole new world of self expression. First, select your cloth from a range of thousands of Egyptian, English, Swiss and Italian cottons and silks. Then choose your collar from over thirty styles and finally select your cuffs.
